Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) organized discussion meeting and colorful cultural program on the occasion of observance of the Victory Day-2017.
Prominent singer Shaheen Samad was present as the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir was special guest. The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor of GUB.
Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer and Director of student’s affairs; Dean Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Distinguished Professor MM Khan, Chairpersons of different departments, faculty members, officials and a large number of students made the occasion an event of joy and happiness.
At the discussion meeting, Shaheen Samad said that Music contributed more to the liberation war in 1971.He said even after a long time of our victory; we have not yet achieved the desired goal of our victory for which the common people of this country participated in the Liberation War.
Professor Golam Samdani Fakir said, the main tool to move forward is economic development. Besides this, we need to establish more institutions like Harvard and MIT.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan said, we have to work together to implement the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rhaman. He described the experience of 16 December and 7 March in the Suhrawardy Udyan as an eyewitness.
Speakers emphasized the importance of the present generation to know about the glorious history of our Liberation War. They expect that the students of the country can play a vital role in this regard.
