Founding President, Bangladesh Renaissance Foundation (BRF), former Chairman of the Department of Marketing, Jagannath University and former Treasurer of Jagannath University Teachers Association (JnUTA)-2017 Md. Zahir Uddin Arif (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Md_Zahir_Uddin_Arif3/contributions) achieved remarkable ‘BANGLADESH EDUCATION LEADERSHIP AWARD 2017’ in the category of ‘BEST PROFESSOR IN MARKETING MANAGEMENT’ organized by World Education Congress, World HRD Congress, and THOUGHT LEADERS with the Asian Confederation of Business in the South Asian Partnership Summit (SAPS) and Business Excellence Awards 2017.

He is serving now as the Program Director of the MBA (Evening) Program of the Department of Marketing of Jagannath University. He involves in various social & extra-curricular activities voluntarily with research publications in reputed national and international journals, conference proceedings, marketing consultancy & training experiences in various national and international organizations for the last two decades.

As a part of International Awards 2017, Bangladesh Leadership Awards 2017 were presented at the Hotel Le Méridien Dhaka by the Asian Confederation of Business with CMO Asia as its strategic partner and Stars of the Industry Group as a research partner to recognize institutions and individuals who believe, Excellence is infinite and can lead to shaping the destinies of the future of the world. The awards of the highest stature are presented to Individuals and Institutions who have surpassed several levels of its excellence and set an example of being a Role Model and Exemplary Leadership.

Jury board was formed with the association of academics, researchers and business leaders. Nominated people and organizations from South Asian countries- Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan and Afghanistan got nomination for the prestigious leadership awards. The awards were given mainly in the categories of Best Professor, Best Employer Brand, Best HR Professional, Best IT Company, Best Marketing & Brand Professional, Best CSR Leader, Best Women Leader, Best NGO Leader and Best Academic Institution.

Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Honorable State Minister of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) of Bangladesh delivered the awards among distinguished award recipients in the presence of Mr. Constantinos S. Gavriel, General Manger, Le Méridien Dhaka at the awards ceremony. Vice Chancellors, Pro Vice Chancellors, Deans, Professors from renowned Public and Private Universities in different fields of studies, HR Professionals, Marketing & Brand Professionals, IT Professionals, corporate houses and Young Women Leaders were present to receive the awards.

Dr. Gowher Rizvi, Honorable International Affairs Adviser to Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh also handed over the awards among various award winners in another session of the awards ceremony in the presence of Mr. Farooq Sobhan, Former Ambassador of Bangladesh to China and President of Bangladesh Enterprise Institute; Mr. Abdul Awal Mintu, Former President of FBCCI and Chairman, Multimode Limited and Ms. Asha Jayamanne, Managing Director, Integrated Learning Solution Pvt. Ltd., Sri Lanka and Event Co-Chair, South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Excellence Awards.

Dr. R. L. Bhatia, Chairman of the Jury Board and Founder of World CSR Day and World Sustainability conducted & anchored the awards ceremony as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
