Hult Prize Organizing Committee of RU 2020-21

The Hult Prize referred, as the “Nobel Prize for students” is a community of young people who are solving different social issues through their innovative ideas & making the world a better place. It is a year-long competition which provides an opportunity to the young people to practically solve UN SDGs. The winner of the Hult Prize gets a reward of 1 million USD for a startup business based on their change making idea.

Like the previous 3 years, University of Rajshahi is organizing the Hult Prize on campus programme for the fourth time this year. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, recruitment process is being conducted online. The recruitment for the Hult Prize organizing committee has already been completed.
This year the organizing committee consists of 57 members. A student of Information & Communication Engineering Sumaya Naznin has been selected as the ‘Campus Director’ for the Hult Prize at University of Rajshahi on campus competition 2020-21. Md. Tohidul Islam, Another student from the same department, has been selected as the ‘Assistant Director and Chief of Operation’ while Electrical & Electronics department student Arindam Sanyal Dipto has been selected as the ‘Chief of Judges Coordination’.

This year the Hult Prize challenge for the competition is “Food For good” –transforming food into a vehicle for change. This challenge is aimed to tackle 7 SDGs & also have a positive impact over 10 million people by 2030. The full reveal of the challenge will be published on October. The Hult Prize competition in the University of Rajshahi is expected to take place on November. The enthusiastic change makers of University of Rajshahi are preparing themselves to change the world for the better.
