East West University (EWU) organized a program titled “Bijoyer Golpo Shuni” for their students in the remark month of victory to listen to the story of how he achive freedom from a freedom fighter. Dr. Siraj Ul Islam MD was the storyteller of the event. The program was held in EWU campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka.
Dr. Siraj Ul Islam described the situation after the polls of 1970. He added why he also with some of his friends left their families for training in India and how they fought a guerilla war inside the country. After his speech, a question and answer session was also held on the occasion.
The program was chaired by Professor Dr. Fakrul Alam Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU. He said that we have organized such a program to imbue patriotic feeling for the country to our young generation.
Teachers, officers and students of different departments of the university were present at the program.
